  • Rick Cameron, DVM

    Owner
    Dr. Rick Cameron received his undergraduate degree from Mankato State University and from there attended the Veterinary College at the University of Minnesota. He has been the owner and lead veterinarian at Bass Lake Pet Hospital since 1988. Dr. Cameron enjoys the wide variety of pets he sees from dogs and cats, to rabbits and ferrets, to guinea pigs and other pocket pets; and years of experience have given him a keen understanding of many different medical problems. He has attended many continuing education courses all over the nation and recently was certified to perform TPLO surgery on the canine stifle (knee). Dr. Cameron loves golf and boating in the summer. Warm weather vacations in the winter.
  • Rendina McFadden, DVM

    Associate Veterinarian
    Dr. "Ren" McFadden has been an associate veterinarian at the Bass Lake Pet Hospital since 2005. She attended veterinary school at the University of Minnesota and undergraduate school at Luther College in Decorah, IA. Dr. McFadden enjoys all aspects of private practice, especially dermatology cases.  She is especially fond of her feline patients, even though they aren't always fond of us! She lives in Bloomington with her husband, Brian, son, Connell, and daughter, Vivien. Two Weimaraners, Wesley and Dino, and cat, Fiona complete their household. When not working, Dr. McFadden can be found reading mystery novels, running or training and showing her dog in agility.
  • Daina Rosen, DVM

    Associate Veterinarian
    Dr. Daina Rosen received her BA from Hamline University and D.V.M. from the University of Minnesota. She owned a small -animal practice for 14 years in northern Minnesota where she enjoyed all aspects of general family practice. With their family of two sons grown, she and her husband took the opportunity to return to the Twin Cities. She is happy to be near her childhood home to continue her career at Bass Lake Pet Hospital. She and her husband Joel enjoy walking in the woods with Lily, the Corgi, as well as gardening, reading and cooking at home with cats Candy, Ophelia and Simon.
  • Teri Gessell

    Practice Manager
    Teri Gessell is our Practice Manager. She joined the staff at Bass Lake Pet Hospital in August of 1989. Teri and her husband, Bruce live in Maple Grove with their children and dog, Moose. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors horsebackriding, motorcycle riding or in the kitchen cooking.

    Teri is a member of the Veterinary Practice Managers of Minnesota.

    I have been a technician for six years and started working at the Bass Lake Pet Hospital in July 2008. I received a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2002 and have finished the prerequisites for vet school.  I hope to attend the U of M Vet Medicine program in 2011.  I live with my wife and two dogs--Starr and Penny, and enjoy all types of outdoor activities.

    I've been at Bass Lake Pet Hospital since October 2007. I graduated from Argosy in 2006 and did my externship at Bass Lake Pet Hospital. When I had the opportunity to come back to work here I was thrilled! I am married and we have one child and one dog.

    I graduated from Argosy University in Spring of 2008 and have been at Bass Lake Pet Hospital since September 2008. I have always had a love for animals--big and small! I feel so lucky to be able to make my career to work with animals. I live in Albertville and have one dog Chase and one cat Desi.

    My name is Allison. I graduated from Argosy University in 2011, and started a Bass Lake Pet Hospital in July of 2011. I love working here it is a great work environment and have always loved animals. I have a Great Dane named Opal and a Rat terrier toy poodle named Captain.

    Tara is our head receptionist and has been with Bass Lake Pet Hospital for more than ten years. She always has a smile and is ready to answer any questions you may have. Her love of animals originally brought her here to work. In her free time, Tara enjoys the outdoors and pet sitting.

    I have been a receptionist here at Bass Lake Pet Hospital since April 2008 and absolutely love it! I grew up on a farm in South Dakota around dogs, cats and horses, but I enjoy working with animals of every size.

    Receptionist
    Ashley Russ has been working at Bass lake Pet Hospital since 2005. However she is the daughter of Teri Gessell the practice manager so she has actually been coming here since she was born.  She works in the summers and at least two to three times a month while in school at Mankato State University. She enjoys being out doors, Camping, Horseback Riding and just hanging out with friends.
